Costa Rica Tourtles Tour Wildlife
RefugeWelcome to Playa Hermosa Wildlife Refuge, located on the Central
Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, only 15 minutes drive from Jaco Beach.
This site was created to protect the olive ridley and all nesting
areas. This Ridley turtle is in danger. Each season, the shelter and
its volunteers to protect more than 100,000 eggs and released over
60,000 turtles from June to December. You can be part of this
wonderful natural experience and contribute to the conservation of
the turtle beautiful.
Turtles that visit will have the opportunity to do a night walk
through this beautiful black sand beach in search of turtles, you
can watch the process of putting the eggs, collect eggs to take to
daycare, this tower evening stroll are only available during the
months of June, July and August.
We have released hundreds of young turtles in the wildlife refuge on
the sea again one day in the month of September.
